ThisProp Lead Capture — Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 25, 2026

ThisProp Lead Capture (the “Extension”) is a browser extension published by ThisProp for use by ThisProp customers. This policy explains what the Extension does with data it can see while you browse, and what it sends to ThisProp's servers.

What the Extension does

  • Social feeds (Facebook, LinkedIn, Nextdoor): while a tab on one of these sites is open, the Extension reads the visible text of posts in your feed, entirely in your browser, to score whether a post looks like a real estate buyer/seller/renter/referral lead. This scoring is keyword-based and runs locally — no post text leaves your browser as part of this scanning step.
  • Listing sites (Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com): on a listing detail page, the Extension reads address/price/bed/bath/sqft details already present in the page (from the page's structured data or visible text) so you don't have to retype them.
  • Nothing is sent to ThisProp until you click a capture button. Scanning and classification happening in the background never triggers a network request.

What gets sent to ThisProp, and when

Only when you explicitly click “Capture” on a flagged post or a listing page, the Extension sends to thisprop.com:

  • The post text snippet you captured (truncated to ~500 characters), a best-effort author name, the source URL, and the detected lead category — to create a contact in your ThisProp workspace.
  • The listing's address, price, property type, beds/baths/sqft, a photo URL, and the source URL — to create a property (and an activity note) in your ThisProp workspace.

Each request is authenticated with a personal OAuth access token issued after you sign in to ThisProp and choose a workspace. Captures are attributed to your user account, not a shared workspace secret.

What the Extension does NOT do

  • It does not run on a timer, alarm, or periodic schedule. It never contacts ThisProp's servers except for (a) OAuth sign-in and token refresh when you use the Extension, and (b) an explicit click to capture a post or listing.
  • It does not transmit your browsing history, page content from sites other than the supported social/listing sites, or any data to any third party other than ThisProp.
  • It does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind.

Data storage

  • Your OAuth access/refresh tokens, workspace connection metadata, and settings (which sites are enabled, the detection sensitivity threshold) are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. They are not synced to your Google account and are not accessible to other ThisProp users.
  • A short log of “recent captures” is stored via chrome.storage.session and is cleared automatically when you close/restart your browser.
  • You can disconnect from Settings → Workspace → Integrations → Lead Capture extension or sign out in the Extension settings.
  • Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally stored data.

Data ThisProp receives once you capture something

Captured contacts and properties are stored in your ThisProp workspace under ThisProp's standard Terms of Service and are subject to the same access controls and data handling as any other data in your ThisProp account. For how ThisProp handles workspace data generally, see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy
